- Conduct material research and ensure procurement for the Leather Goods Creation teams in alignment with marketing briefs.
- Lead material sourcing from suppliers to provide swift solutions that meet stylistic desires.
- Promote the reuse of materials, circular creativity, and eco-responsible materials.
- Manage the budget proactively.
- Maintain constant vigilance on market innovations within the assigned scope and share supplier innovations with designers.
- Develop a network and enhance knowledge through competitor visits, supplier meetings, and specialized trade shows.
- Organize and manage orders and procurement of materials necessary for product prototyping, ensuring compliance with timelines and requirements.
- Create new materials in the database to ensure smooth operations with the material room and project development.
- Monitor budget adherence by tracking and updating orders in the data management tool (PLM).
- Ensure material industrialization aligns with Louis Vuitton quality standards and meets project cost and capacity frameworks in coordination with developers and buyers.
- Coordinate sourcing activities between Style and Suppliers during the creation phase.
- Build the collection upstream/downstream with material developers and project buyers.
- Ensure upstream/downstream transition with material developers and project buyers, providing critical elements for risk analysis and ensuring material strategy alignment with project requirements.
- Engage style and marketing stakeholders to ensure collection construction aligns with the allocated budget.
- Animate the upstream supplier panel via the roadmap.
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Business School, University, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles within the Ready-to-Wear, Leather Goods, Sportswear, Lingerie, Technical Clothing, or Accessories sectors.
- Strong project management and budget management skills.
- Proficiency in PLM and CCPM tools is advantageous.
- Creativity and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken (Italian is a plus).
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in similar roles within the fashion or related industries.
Advanced degree in Engineering, Business School, University, or equivalent.
