- Conduct material research and sourcing of leather for the Leather Goods Creation teams, aligning with marketing briefs.
- Promote reuse, circular creativity, and eco-friendly materials.
- Manage the budget proactively.
- Maintain a constant watch on material innovations in the market and share insights with designers.
- Expand network and knowledge through competitor, supplier visits, and specialized trade shows.
- Organize and manage orders and supply of materials for prototyping finished products, adhering to timelines and requirements.
- Create new materials in the database to ensure seamless operation with the materials room and project development.
- Monitor budget adherence by tracking and updating orders in the data management tool (PLM).
- Ensure material industrialization aligns with Louis Vuitton quality standards and project cost and capacity frameworks.
- Coordinate sourcing activities between Style and Suppliers during the creation phase.
- Develop the upstream/downstream collection with the material developer and project buyer.
- Ensure upstream/downstream transition with the material developer and project buyer; convey critical elements for risk analysis and ensure material strategy alignment with project needs.
- Engage style and marketing interlocutors to ensure collection construction aligns with the allocated budget.
- Lead the upstream supplier panel via the roadmap.
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Business School, University, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles within sectors such as Ready-to-Wear, Leather Goods, Sportswear, Lingerie, Technical Garments, or Accessories.
- Strong project management and budget management skills.
- Proficiency in PLM and CCPM tools is advantageous.
- Creativity and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken; Italian is a plus.
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles within the fashion or leather goods industry.
Advanced degree in Engineering, Business School, University, or equivalent.
