- Conduct material research and sourcing for leather, ensuring alignment with creative briefs and marketing requirements.
- Promote sustainable practices by prioritizing re-use, circular creativity, and eco-friendly materials.
- Manage budget planning and execution for sourcing activities.
- Maintain a constant watch on market innovations and share insights with design teams.
- Develop and maintain a network through competitor visits, supplier interactions, and industry events.
- Organize and manage orders and supply of materials for product prototyping, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Create and update material databases to support project development and material room operations.
- Coordinate with developers and buyers to ensure materials meet industrialization standards and project specifications.
- Facilitate sourcing activities between design teams and suppliers during the creation phase.
- Collaborate with material developers and project buyers to construct collections and manage upstream/downstream transitions.
- Lead discussions with style and marketing teams to ensure collection alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Engage with suppliers to manage the sourcing roadmap.
- Higher education degree in Engineering, Business School, University, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles within the fashion industry (ready-to-wear, leather goods, sportswear, lingerie, technical clothing, accessories).
- Strong project management and budgeting skills.
- Proficiency in PLM and CCPM tools is advantageous.
- Creativity and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken; Italian is a plus.
Minimum 5 years in similar roles within the fashion industry.
Higher education degree in Engineering, Business School, University, or equivalent.
