Louis Vuitton Leather Quality Control Specialist

- Inspect leather at tanneries in Italy and compile detailed reports.
- Ensure selection percentages and provide precise information to the Leather Division and ateliers.
- Guarantee compliance with leather articles and report any deviations.
- Define inspection criteria based on feedback, material alerts, quality issues, and leather operations challenges.
- Support and develop leather selectors at LV sites.
- Conduct quality benchmarking analyses with suppliers, finished product sites, and headquarters.
- Follow up on material quality action plans with internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in defining control criteria with material developers, quality teams, suppliers, and laboratories.
- Collaborate on critical products with the development area to support pre-series leather testing.
- Share validated control criteria with project teams and site inspectors.
- Stay informed on leather usage issues in LV workshops to provide guidance to Italian leather suppliers.
- Participate in cross-sector quality calibration campaigns if necessary.
- Support cutting operations as needed.
- Expertise in quality tools (problem solving, cutting plan audit, corrective and preventive actions).
- Knowledge of logistics processes and leather inspection and selection methods at tanneries.
- Proficiency in leather knowledge, particularly manual leather cutting.
- Analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to work independently with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated integrity and responsibility.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Interest in training, support, and knowledge sharing.
- Good command of English; French is a plus.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in leather quality control or a related field is required.
