Loro Piana Research & Purchasing Specialist — Textile

1. Create and maintain an up-to-date supplier directory and ensure supplier master data integrity.
2. Liaise with suppliers to obtain material specifications, technical datasheets and order confirmations; coordinate with Procurement for system data entry.
3. Monitor and manage data collection and order lifecycle for prototyping, sampling and allocated budgets, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
4. Collaborate with product teams to transfer accurate prototyping and sampling material information.
5. Administer and track transport documentation for shipments to external workshops and receipts of materials at the Milan site.
6. Investigate and resolve issues related to blocked or disputed supplier invoices, liaising with finance and procurement as required.

1. Minimum 3 years' experience in purchasing, sourcing or material research within the textile or apparel industry.
2. Practical knowledge of the textile supply chain and material specification processes.
3. Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
4. Flexibility to manage shifting priorities and strict prototyping/sampling deadlines.
5. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office applications.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in textile sourcing, purchasing or materials research, preferably within a luxury apparel or high-end textile environment.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Textile Science, Materials Technology, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline preferred.
