Loro Piana Product Development Specialist

- Collaborate with the Product Manager to understand and execute stylistic designs, organizing related activities.
- Coordinate with suppliers for prototype production, ensuring adherence to planning, timing, and quality standards.
- Initiate prototypes and canvases with the assistance of the product room team.
- Support cost negotiation and verify cost sheets.
- Guide the compilation of bills of materials in collaboration with the product room team.
- Ensure style boards and files are consistently updated with necessary changes.
- Participate in fittings to finalize canvases and prototypes.
- Manage the launch of sample books and oversee sample returns with the product room team's support.
- Work with styling to define accessory pairings, including buttons, drawstrings, leather, and metallics.
- Collaborate with product and style teams to review pattern books and line sheets.
- Inspect and control sample garments for matching, fit, and raw material yield, implementing changes as needed.
- Verify collection color matches for production bills of materials.
- Engage in fit and shedding tests in collaboration with the technical department.
- Initiate pre-production samples with support from the product room team.
- Communicate production alterations to the merchandising department.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the fashion industry.
- Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office, ProJ, PLM, and/or SAP.
- Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong result orientation and customer focus.
- Integrity and reliability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel within Italy for business purposes.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the fashion industry is required.
