Laureus Programmes Manager

- Develop and manage a portfolio of grants, including both institutional and internal grants, assessing organizational competencies and creating development plans with grantees.
- Facilitate capacity building and networking opportunities for grantees.
- Support the Sport for Good Development Team in applications to institutional funders, providing strategic input and advice.
- Ensure compliance with grant-management requirements for both internal and external funding sources.
- Collaborate with grantees to gather transformative narratives that enhance donor relationships and communication.
- Maintain regular communication with grantees, ensuring their interests are safeguarded.
- Conduct international and UK-based project site assessments and monitoring trips.
- Identify and source innovative projects that align with Sport for Good’s funding criteria.
- Enhance child protection standards within the Sport for Good portfolio.
- Update and analyze data from reports, providing recommendations to senior management and the board.
- Line-manage junior staff, interns, and consultants as required.
- Assist in project visits, public relations activities, and other events.
- Represent Laureus in relevant forums and stay informed on developments in the sport for development sector.
- Experience in international development, preferably within a developing country or community-based organization.
- Proven track record in a charity or foundation focused on international development.
- Experience in submitting successful funding proposals to institutional donors and trusts.
- Demonstrated success in managing grant reporting requirements.
- Project management experience with international projects.
- Knowledge of the sport for development sector.
- Fluency in English and French.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Basic budgeting and financial management skills.
- Ability to conduct due diligence on potential new grantees.
- Strong cross-organizational collaboration skills.
- Confident communication skills, particularly in written reports and presentations.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining international partnerships.
Solid experience in international development and charity or foundation work, with a focus on grant management and project delivery across multiple continents.
