1. Monitor and interpret trade regulations, customs laws, and import/export requirements in the US and Canada.
2. Ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
3. Maintain accurate records of import and export transactions.
4. Prepare and review shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
5. Liaise with government agencies such as U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Canada Border Services Agency.
6. Facilitate compliance communication with relevant agencies, including FDA and EPA.
7. Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate compliance issues.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and enhance compliance procedures.
9. Perform internal audits to ensure adherence to trade compliance policies.
10. Provide training and guidance on trade compliance matters.
11. Analyze data to inform strategic decisions and corrective actions.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, International Relations, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in trade compliance, with a focus on US and Canada.
3. Customs Broker’s License.

1. In-depth knowledge of US and Canadian import/export regulations.
2. Strong understanding of customs procedures and documentation.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
5. Familiarity with trade management software and systems.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

A minimum of 3-5 years in trade compliance, with a focus on US and Canadian regulations.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, International Relations, or related field.

$85,000 - $95,000 per year plus incentives.
