- Collaborate with security team members to respond to security incidents and swiftly identify and contain potential threats.
- Contribute to the review of technical solutions.
- Assist in risk assessments to ensure payment security and PCI compliance in retail and e-commerce environments.
- Proactively identify security and PCI compliance gaps in existing or proposed architectures and processes, recommending risk mitigation measures.
- Participate in PCI DSS assessments and remediation efforts to maintain compliance status of retail and e-commerce payment systems.
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Passion for IT technologies and cybersecurity.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, GSEC, or CompTIA CySA+ are preferred.
- Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS).
- Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
- Understanding of operating systems security, including Windows and Linux.
No prior professional experience required, but familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and tools is beneficial.
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in a relevant field.
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Exposure to a wide range of technologies impacting security posture and PCI compliance, including vulnerability management, penetration testing, security remediation, and awareness training.
