Kering Senior Indirect Tax Accountant

- Ensure compliance with personal property tax regulations for over 250 retail locations.
- Gather data and identify taxable assets for accurate preparation and filing of property tax renditions.
- Analyze property tax assessments and appeal assessments to ensure proper valuation of taxable assets.
- Assist with property tax audits, including data gathering, analysis, reconciliation, and negotiations with tax authorities.
- Maintain proficiency in state and local tax laws using tax research software.
- Conduct special projects and research complex tax issues as required.
- Support other areas of indirect tax compliance, including sales/use tax and business licenses.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant indirect tax or accounting experience, preferably in a retail environment.
- Proficiency in Vertex O Series, Vertex Returns, Avalara, and ERP software such as Oracle or SAP.
- Experience researching state and local tax laws using tools like CCH, TTR, BNA, or Checkpoint.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience with database tools such as Alteryx is advantageous.
- Excellent judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in indirect tax or accounting, preferably within a retail environment.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
