Kering Senior Indirect Tax Accountant

- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, NYC Commercial Rent tax returns, and Canadian GST/HST tax returns.
- Prepare and file legal entity annual reports, business licenses, and permits, and validate resale certificates.
- Gather data, identify asset locations, and prepare renditions for property tax compliance.
- Assist with indirect tax audits, including data gathering, account analysis, and reconciliation.
- Maintain proficiency in state and local tax laws using tax research software.
- Work on special projects and research complex tax issues as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant indirect tax or accounting experience; retail environment experience advantageous.
- Proficiency in Vertex O Series, Vertex Returns, Avalara, and ERP software such as Oracle or SAP.
- Experience with state and local tax law research using tools like CCH, TTR, BNA, or Checkpoint.
- Strong skills in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Word; experience with database tools like Alteryx is beneficial.
- Excellent judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Superior judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with enthusiasm.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams and cross-functionally.
A minimum of three years of experience in indirect tax or accounting, with a preference for experience within a retail environment.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; advanced degree preferred.
