1. Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, NYC Commercial Rent tax returns, and Canadian GST/HST tax returns.
2. Prepare and file legal entity annual reports, business licenses, and permits, and validate resale certificates.
3. Gather data, identify asset locations, and prepare renditions for property tax compliance.
4. Assist with indirect tax audits, including data gathering, account analysis, and reconciliation.
5. Maintain proficiency in state and local tax laws using tax research software.
6. Engage in special projects and research complex tax issues as required.

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree preferred.
2. 3+ years of relevant indirect tax or accounting experience; retail experience is advantageous.

1. Proficiency in Vertex O Series, Vertex Returns, Avalara, and ERP software such as Oracle or SAP.
2. Experience with state and local tax law research using tools like CCH, TTR, BNA, or Checkpoint.
3. Strong skills in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word; experience with database tools like Alteryx is beneficial.
4. Excellent judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
5. Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
6. Superior judgment and critical thinking skills.
7. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with enthusiasm.
8. Ability to work collaboratively with team and cross-functionally.

3+ years of relevant indirect tax or accounting experience, preferably in a retail environment.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree preferred.
