- Ensure compliance of company benefit plans with applicable rules and regulations, including state and federal audits and filings.
- Stay informed about laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting employee benefits.
- Conduct complex data analysis and serve as the primary contact for non-discrimination testing and annual reconciliation.
- Manage data in accordance with company policies and legal requirements, maintaining confidentiality.
- Develop and deliver benefit compliance training in collaboration with vendors.
- Coordinate administration steps to ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.
- Support the development and monitoring of U.S. group insurance plan expenses and compliance processes.
- Manage relationships with benefits brokers and vendors regarding compliance topics.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Accounting, Finance, Operations, Legal, and HR.
- Support annual and ad-hoc projects focused on plan/policy compliance, including open enrollment.
- Provide support to the Total Rewards team on key projects and activities.
- 7+ years of experience in benefit administration and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge in benefits compliance, reporting, and administration.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory and legislative impacts related to benefits programs.
- Ability to work with large data sets and strong analytical skills.
- Experience with vendor relations and multi-state employers.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency.
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team player with a professional demeanor.
A minimum of 7 years in benefits administration and compliance, with experience in managing multi-state employer benefits and vendor relations.
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field.
