- Ensure compliance of company benefit plans with applicable rules and regulations, including managing state and federal audits and filings.
- Stay informed about laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting employee benefits.
- Conduct complex data analysis and manage non-discrimination testing for nonqualified plans.
- Maintain data in accordance with record retention policies and ensure confidentiality.
- Develop and deliver benefit compliance training in collaboration with vendors.
- Coordinate administration steps to ensure compliance with policy terms and regulatory requirements.
- Support the development and monitoring of U.S. group insurance plan expenses and governance processes.
- Manage relationships with benefits brokers and vendors concerning compliance topics.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Accounting, Finance, Operations, Legal, and HR.
- Support annual and ad-hoc projects focused on plan/policy compliance, including open enrollment.
- Assist the Total Rewards team with key projects and activities.
- 7+ years of experience in benefit administration and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge in benefits compliance, reporting, and administration.
- Sound understanding of regulatory and legislative impacts on benefits programs.
- Ability to work with large data sets and strong analytical skills.
- Experience with vendor relations and multi-state employers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency and ownership.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external partners.
- Team-oriented with a commitment to collaboration.
- Professionalism in handling interactions.
A minimum of 7 years in benefit administration and compliance, with experience in vendor relations and multi-state employers preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field.
