1. Collaborate with the Financial Controller to prepare month-end reports, including posting journals, prepayments, and asset accounting.
2. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and review intercompany postings.
3. Support the preparation of VAT returns and other fiscal submissions.
4. Process business expenses using CONCUR.
5. Assist in maintaining the capital allowances ledger and preparing statutory accounts.
6. Respond to queries from stores and operational teams, and handle national statistics reporting.
7. Address internal and external audit queries and perform ad hoc reporting.

1. Minimum part-qualified in AAT or ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
2. Experience in the retail industry is advantageous.
3. Background in accounting or accounts payable.

1. Proficiency in Excel and exposure to SAP/CONCUR.
2. Attention to detail and accuracy in communication.
3. Ability to work independently while keeping the team informed.
4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
5. Capability to prioritize workload and manage multiple deadlines.

Previous experience in an accounting or accounts payable role is required.

Minimum part-qualified in AAT or ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
