Kendo Business Development and Training Manager

- Drive sales in the designated area by building relationships with counter and store management, optimizing in-store merchandising, and enhancing brand presentation.
- Strategize with the Regional Manager to develop business plans and special events, identifying opportunities within the area.
- Lead by example and model selling behaviors, techniques, and training in-store through coaching and development.
- Hire, onboard, and manage retail teams to drive sales and support the Kendo brand portfolio.
- Train retail teams on product knowledge, advanced artistry skills, and selling behaviors.
- Deliver inspirational in-store training sessions and create engaging video content.
- Support growth in core brand franchises and new launches across all stores.
- Ensure best-in-class customer experience through effective service and selling techniques.
- Coach and develop direct reports to generate sales through training and sales support in-store.
- Develop talent and capabilities of retail teams through one-on-one engagement and regular coaching sessions.
- Maximize team selling effectiveness through consistent in-market visits, leading by example, and providing recognition and feedback.
- Collaborate with Field Teams to develop best practices and drive team performance.
- Implement appraisals and development programs with retail teams and agree on scoring for review with the Regional Manager.
- Drive brand KPIs and support sales goal achievement for store events.
- Support in-store and retailer-led events to ensure brand standards and guidelines are met.
- Collaborate with the field sales team to conceptualize seasonal events and masterclasses.
- Oversee inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits, and request replenishment as needed to prevent shortages.
- Collaborate with the VM team to ensure displays meet company standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with store and department managers to ensure smooth store operations and ongoing communication.
- Work within company travel and expense budgets, following established guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain excellent communication with field sales partners, store management, and the training department.
- Travel 60-75% of the time.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in the field as an Area Manager or in Education/Events is advantageous.
- Experience managing large teams and high-profile flagship accounts is an advantage.
- Experience in delivering coaching sessions at the counter level.
- Confident and engaging communicator and presenter, both face-to-face and virtually.
- High level of artistry attainment and experience within the retail beauty sector.
- Passionate, enthusiastic, and inspirational.
- High-level attention to detail and accuracy in execution of work and tasks.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Good understanding and awareness of all social media platforms.
- Ability to create/edit video content is an advantage.
- Flexibility and the ability to travel with overnight stays.

Minimum of 3 years in a relevant role, preferably in the beauty or luxury retail sector.
