- Develop and implement business-driving initiatives to foster repeat business and attract new customers.
- Achieve store productivity targets, including sales per hour, average dollar transaction, units per transaction, and capture rate.
- Ensure all team members complete sales training and develop strong product knowledge across all categories.
- Model and supervise the selling environment, providing consistent coaching to ensure the highest level of customer service and sales.
- Hire, train, and motivate a qualified sales team that effectively represents the Kate Spade New York brand.
- Provide development opportunities for assistant managers and supervisors through accountability assignments and consistent feedback.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations with quarterly goal reviews.
- Network and build positive community relationships to generate business and brand awareness.
- Attend company management meetings as required.
- Communicate the Kate Spade New York brand aesthetic and philosophy to the sales team and customers.
- Ensure efficient implementation of visual merchandising directives and maintain visual standards.
- Analyze business trends and communicate opportunities to increase sales to the District Leader.
- Oversee store opening and closing procedures, including financial transactions and securing the facility.
- Conduct regular store meetings to ensure accurate communication with employees.
- Maintain payroll budget and ensure appropriate sales floor coverage.
- Supervise operational responsibilities, including markdowns, transfers, damages, shipping, and receiving.
- Ensure compliance with loss prevention policies and procedures.
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in luxury goods or a comparable retail environment.
- College degree preferred.
- Prior luxury goods experience preferred.
- Professional sales development and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership qualities with effective communication across all organizational levels.
- Ability to analyze selling reports and react quickly to business needs.
- Decision-making and conflict mediation skills in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Windows-based software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
A minimum of three years in a managerial role within luxury goods or a comparable retail environment is required.
College degree preferred.
