- Develop and execute strategic merchandise plans to achieve category KPIs such as sales, margin, SKU productivity, and inventory turnover.
- Collaborate with planning and allocation teams to optimize stock allocation and address product liabilities.
- Conduct market research to inform buying strategies and integrate insights into local price management.
- Communicate with the Global Merchandising Team to align on local market needs and trends.
- Partner with marketing, retail operations, logistics, and visual merchandising to ensure cohesive implementation of merchandising strategies.
- Provide feedback to global teams on merchandise needs and customer segment behaviors.
- 3-5+ years of experience in buying and/or merchandising within the fashion industry.
- Experience in luxury goods is advantageous.
- Proficiency in merchandising planning is preferred.
- Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to change and manage ambiguity.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
3-5+ years of experience in buying and/or merchandising, preferably within the luxury fashion sector.
