Kate Spade Assistant Store Manager

- Develop business-driving initiatives to foster repeat business and attract new customers.
- Communicate and achieve store productivity targets, including sales per hour, average transaction value, and customer conversion rates.
- Ensure all associates complete sales training and develop strong product knowledge across all categories.
- Model and supervise the selling environment, providing consistent coaching on sales training processes.
- Assist the Senior Store Leader/Area Leader in achieving financial success by improving measurable results.
- Assume the Store Leader role in their absence, if applicable.
- Lead by example in achieving personal sales goals and educate the team on product, sales plans, and personal goals.
- Network within the community to efficiently fill open positions and build a bench for future promotions.
- Onboard new team members effectively and conduct ongoing performance reviews.
- Communicate merchandise sell-through, stock position, and business trends to the Senior Store Leader/Area Leader.
- Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures.
- Assist in maintaining the payroll budget by managing schedules and making necessary adjustments.
- Monitor and maintain company policies and procedures with a focus on loss prevention.
- Manage the processing of all POS transactions accurately.
- Partner with the warehouse to manage workload planning, markdowns, and merchandise flow processes.
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in a comparable retail environment.
- College degree preferred.
- Prior luxury goods experience preferred.
- Professional sales development and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership qualities and effective communication skills.
- Ability to analyze selling reports and identify business trends.
- Comfortable making decisions and mediating conflict within a team environment.
- Proficient in Windows-based software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
A minimum of 3 years in a management role within a comparable retail environment is required, with a preference for experience in luxury goods.
College degree preferred.
Base pay range from $20.00 to $29.75 per hour.
