- Cultivate a clientele through proactive outreach and relationship building with new clients.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop business-driving initiatives, such as events and marketing opportunities, to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Ensure associates actively utilize their client books to boost sales, conducting monthly reviews and evaluations of their outreach efforts.
- Maintain compliance with clientele standards and the thank you note program.
- Oversee the completion of the sales training program by all associates.
- Model and supervise the selling environment, providing consistent coaching on sales training processes to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Assist the Store Manager in achieving financial success by improving measurable results that positively impact store performance.
- Assume the Store Manager role in their absence, leading by example to achieve personal sales goals.
- Educate the team on product knowledge, sales plans, personal goals, and measurable statistics, coaching them to maximize business potential.
- Network within the community to efficiently fill open positions, building a bench for future promotions and openings.
- Manage administrative recruitment duties, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Effectively onboard new team members through structured touch bases and conduct ongoing performance reviews.
- Utilize mid-year and annual review processes for associate development and advancement, addressing performance concerns promptly.
- Communicate the Kate Spade brand aesthetic, philosophy, and lifestyle to the sales team and customers.
- Ensure brand and operating standards are met to support brand consistency, implementing visual merchandising directives and maintaining store presentation standards.
- Communicate merchandise sell-through, stock position, business trends, product issues, and customer feedback to the Store Manager to enhance customer service and sales.
- Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and securing the facility.
- Assist the Store Manager in maintaining the payroll budget by managing schedules and making necessary adjustments.
- Monitor and adhere to company policies and procedures with a focus on loss prevention.
- Accurately manage the processing of all POS transactions to maintain inventory integrity.
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in a comparable retail environment.
- College degree preferred.
- Prior luxury goods experience preferred.
- Professional sales development and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to analyze selling reports, identify business trends, and respond swiftly to business needs.
- Comfortable making decisions and mediating conflicts within a team environment.
- Proficient in Windows-based software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
A minimum of three years in a managerial role within a comparable retail environment is required, with a preference for experience in luxury goods.
College degree preferred.
