- Develop and implement business initiatives to drive repeat and new customer engagement.
- Achieve store productivity targets including sales per hour, average dollar transaction, units per transaction, and capture rate.
- Ensure all associates complete sales training and develop strong product knowledge.
- Model and supervise the selling environment, providing consistent coaching to ensure high levels of customer service and sales.
- Assist the Store Manager in achieving financial success through measurable results.
- Assume the Store Manager role in their absence, leading by example in achieving personal sales goals.
- Educate the team on sales plans and personal goals, coaching to ensure business maximization.
- Network within the community to efficiently fill open positions with minimal business impact.
- Conduct ongoing employee performance reviews and assessments.
- Communicate the Kate Spade New York brand aesthetic and philosophy to the sales team and customers.
- Ensure brand and operating standards are met, supporting brand consistency.
- Implement visual merchandising directives and maintain store presentation standards.
- Communicate merchandise sell-through, stock position, and business trends to the Store Manager.
- Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures, including financial transactions and facility security.
- Assist in maintaining the payroll budget by managing schedules and making necessary adjustments.
- Monitor and follow company policies with a focus on loss prevention.
- Accurately manage POS transactions to maintain inventory integrity.
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in a comparable retail environment.
- College degree preferred.
- Prior luxury goods experience preferred.
- Professional sales development and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to analyze selling reports and identify business trends.
- Decision-making and conflict mediation skills within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Windows-based software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Minimum 3 years of management experience in a comparable retail environment.
College degree preferred.
