Assistant Store Manager

1. Develop business initiatives to build repeat business and attract new customers.
2. Achieve store productivity targets including sales per hour, ADT, UPT, and capture rate.
3. Ensure all associates complete sales training and develop strong product knowledge.
4. Model and supervise the selling environment, providing consistent coaching on sales training.
5. Assist Store Manager in achieving financial success and assume the role in their absence.
6. Lead by example in achieving personal sales goals and educate the team on sales plans.
7. Network in the community to fill open positions efficiently.
8. Conduct ongoing review and assessment of employee performance.
9. Communicate the Kate Spade brand aesthetic and philosophy to the sales team and customers.
10. Ensure brand and operating standards are met and visual merchandising directives are implemented.
11. Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures.
12. Assist in maintaining payroll budget by managing schedules.
13. Monitor and follow company policies with a focus on loss prevention.

1. Minimum 3 years management experience in a comparable retail environment.
2. College degree preferred.
3. Prior luxury goods experience preferred.

1. Professional sales development and exceptional interpersonal skills.
2. Strong leadership qualities and effective communication skills.
3. Ability to analyze selling reports and identify business trends.
4. Comfortable making decisions and mediating conflict in a team environment.
5. Proficient in Windows-based software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Minimum 3 years management experience in a comparable retail environment.
