Kate Spade Assistant Buyer

- Run reports to recap style selling and assist the Buyer in analyzing results, making recommendations for improved performance, and identifying business opportunities.
- Assist the buying team during market with assortment planning for omni channels and enter orders in the JOOR system.
- Collaborate with site and photo teams to launch products online and ensure product accuracy on the site.
- Partner with the merchandising team to develop and refine seasonal line architecture to maximize needs.
- Support the Buyer with visual recaps, boards, and line lists.
- Execute and track inventory movements and purchase orders, identifying lateness and potential sales risks, and set up presell inventory for late styles.
- Ensure all markdowns and promotions are properly entered in the system and communicated to relevant teams.
- Support the Buyer with hindsight preparation for internal merchandising meetings.
- Shop the marketplace to identify product opportunities, pricing strategies, trends, and offerings.
- Participate in meetings.
- 1+ years of experience in merchandising, buying, and/or planning roles; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Previous omni channel experience is a plus.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and focus in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Innate curiosity, willingness to learn, and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Sense of urgency and strong attention to detail.
- Strong presentation, listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams.
- High level of proficiency in retail math and Excel.
1+ years of experience in merchandising, buying, and/or planning roles; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Base pay range $64,350.00 to $70,000.00.
