- Develop and implement the company's legal strategy.
- Participate in key thematic committees to advise on legal issues.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks while supporting business activities.
- Educate and train company personnel on current legal topics.
- Review, draft, and negotiate complex and strategic contracts.
- Oversee intellectual property rights protection, including trademarks, designs, and patents.
- Manage pre-litigation, litigation, and other legal disputes.
- Lead and develop a high-performing legal team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
- Define roles, task distribution, and departmental structure within the legal team.
- Arbitrate complex legal issues and implement tools for optimal team performance.
- Maintain and manage a list of external lawyers and their fees.
- Establish and manage the legal budget.
- Passion for the role is essential.
- Comprehensive legal education with a law degree or equivalent qualification. An LL.M. is advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, particularly in contract law, within law firms, corporations, or organizations in an international setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Broad legal knowledge covering all company activities, including contract law, consumer law, competition law, data protection, and corporate law.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken. German proficiency is a plus.
- Autonomous, rigorous, organized, pragmatic, and flexible.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic mindset with managerial experience and the ability to provide strategic legal advice to senior management.
