Hermès Machining Section Manager

1. Lead and motivate the machining team: plan daily tasks, allocate resources, manage absences and interim staffing, evaluate performance and develop technical competencies.
2. Deploy and adjust production schedules: define daily machine programmes, distribute workload, monitor outputs and revise production quantities with ordonnancement.
3. Monitor operational performance: build and track KPIs (scrap rates, rework, productivity), use feedback to resolve production issues with technicians and operators.
4. Drive continuous improvement: participate in pre-industrialisation tests, identify efficiency gains with quality, maintenance, methods and logistics, and propose equipment or layout investments.
5. Ensure product quality and safety: enforce quality procedures, deliver corrective actions, train new hires on safety and quality rules and coordinate maintenance priorities with the maintenance team.
6. Manage industrial reporting and stakeholder communication: provide regular information to Production Manager and scheduling/planning functions and handle day‑to‑day problem solving.

1. Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
2. Minimum three years' experience in an industrial production environment, with proven experience in team management or supervisory duties.
3. Strong knowledge of production planning, shop‑floor organisation and continuous improvement methodologies.
4. Familiarity with production ERP systems (ERP de production) and basic industrial IT.
5. Knowledge of metal surface treatments; experience with electroplating/galvanoplasty is a strong advantage.
