Hermès HSE Apprentice (Health, Safety & Environment)
The position sits within the Hermès textile holding that coordinates multiple production units—spanning weaving, printing, finishing and garment making—to serve the Hermès maisons and external markets. The holding groups several specialist ateliers in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and emphasises artisanal excellence, industrial synergies and rigorous quality standards.
- Update the annual chemical risk assessment using the site’s internal tool.
- Monitor and drive safety action plans arising from the HSE plan, safety committees, CSSCT, inspections and near-miss reports; support related communication and awareness campaigns.
- Participate in HSE governance: safety committees, CSSCT meetings and site safety visits.
- Support managers in professional risk assessments for the DUER during the annual review, after accidents and for new work situations.
- Contribute to drafting prevention plans and loading/unloading protocols with contractors and clients.
- Maintain and enrich the site documentation library alongside site managers (workstation safety sheets, FDS/SDS, procedures, operating modes).
- Organise and help execute emergency and preparedness exercises (fire, pollution, personal alarm systems, etc.).
- Take part in site and group thematic days (safety days, QVCT) and in the ERM audit follow-up; implement resulting action plans.
- Accompany control bodies during regulatory inspections (atmospheric measurements, ventilation checks, occupational exposure limits) and compile end-of-day reports.
- Record non-conformities in the tracking file and lead corrective measures to achieve compliance.
- Manage waste collection logistics and record entries in the waste register; prepare Bordereaux de Suivi de Déchets (BSD) using the Track Déchets platform.
- Track waste, water and energy indicators; record and analyse water and energy data on a weekly basis and support actions to reduce consumption.
- Deliver staff awareness and training activities related to HSE and sustainability initiatives, including Sustainable Development Week.
- Enrolled in Master 1 or Master 2, or an engineering school, specialising in Quality, Safety & Environment (QSE).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to anticipate and prioritise tasks.
- Analytical mindset with capacity for synthesis and clear reporting.
- Practical, field-oriented approach and willingness to engage with operational teams.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to propose and implement improvements.

Open to beginners; suitable for students in Master 1/2 or engineering school with little or no professional HSE experience. Practical interest in operational HSE work and prior exposure to site environments is an advantage.
Master 1 or Master 2 (or engineering school) in Quality, Safety & Environment (QSE) or equivalent.
