Guerlain Area Manager, Travel Retail

- Drive sales development and brand equity by achieving sales, market share, and profitability targets for Guerlain in the Japan Travel Retail sector.
- Ensure implementation of brand plans within corporate guidelines, maintaining operational excellence and brand integrity.
- Provide exceptional service to key clients, fostering strong and lasting relationships with Travel Retail players.
- Identify and capitalize on new opportunities for profitable growth in key locations.
- Negotiate trade terms, space, location, assortment, and pricing.
- Ensure legal contracts are signed and terms and conditions are accurately mapped.
- Provide monthly sell-out reports and market insights.
- Manage P&L responsibilities, including preparation, presentation, and monthly reviews.
- Oversee a team of 3 in Tokyo and 30 retail staff, driving strategic projects and cross-regional developments.
- Implement and reclaim the 3-Axis Beauty positioning in line with product strategy.
- Ensure execution of all touchpoints of 360 launch plans and review new launches performance.
- Develop and implement a detailed sales/marketing plan per customer.
- Monitor competitive activity and trends in markets, customers, products, prices, and channels.
- Roll out the E-Retail strategy in compliance with Guerlain HQ processes.
- Coordinate campaign executions and ensure timely content development.
- Lead sustainability initiatives and discussions within the team.
- Define and design the country's selective and productive distribution strategy.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in managing P&L and financial acumen.
- Ability to drive strategic projects and develop long-term relationships.
- Expertise in marketing, merchandising, and retail strategies.
- Competency in digital and e-retail strategies.
- Leadership skills with a focus on team development and coaching.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
