Gucci Stock Controller

- Oversee the physical organization of the stockroom, ensuring it is tidy and merchandise is stored efficiently according to Gucci procedures.
- Enhance storage and stock control systems, suggesting improvements for stockroom layout and organization.
- Supervise the flow of goods between stockrooms and the shop floor, preparing and controlling the arrangement of articles.
- Manage the organization and replenishment of all packaging materials, including bags, garment covers, and hangers.
- Ensure shop floor consumables are stocked by placing regular orders with suppliers.
- Receive and verify weekly deliveries, informing inventory control and store management of any discrepancies.
- Unpack deliveries and store merchandise in correct locations, ensuring accessibility and adherence to company procedures.
- Process paperwork and administrative tasks related to inventory management.
- Maintain stock levels according to client demand and manage staff uniform allocation.
- Coordinate with inventory control on deliveries, stock transfers, stock takes, and returns to vendors.
- Manage consignment processes and seasonal returns to the warehouse.
- Prepare markdowns before sales periods, separating carry-over items from markdown merchandise.
- Conduct electronic maintenance of stock allocations, including orders, transfers, and adjustments.
- Perform full and mini stock takes, investigating discrepancies and reporting findings to the store manager.
- Identify and manage faulty stock, liaising with suppliers and maintaining records of repairs.
- Support sales teams and visual merchandisers by preparing stock for displays and communicating with the retail team at head office.
- Liaise with the press department regarding required stock.
- Previous experience in a similar role with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands.
- Proficiency in inventory management and reconciliation of stock counts to report data.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with internal and external personnel at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Previous experience in a stock management or similar role within the retail or luxury fashion industry is required.
