- Assist the Head Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Sous Chef, Pastry Chef, and Lead Line Cooks in all kitchen preparations.
- Prepare meal ingredients including seasoning meats, washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits, and preparing salads and sauces as directed.
- Receive deliveries and verify the quantity and quality of items received.
- Oversee inventory of supplies and notify supervisor of low or depleted items.
- Plate and present meal items as instructed by the Lead Line Cook.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- At least one year of experience in the hospitality industry, specifically within the kitchen area.
- Fluency in English.
- Professional appearance and self-grooming.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Standard knowledge of kitchen operating procedures.
- Understanding of current basic regulations and safety standards.
- Familiarity with kitchen machinery and food preservation techniques.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certification of Food Handlers License.
- Strong culinary skills in ingredient preparation and cooking techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Organizational skills for inventory management.
- Attention to detail for food presentation and safety compliance.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.
A minimum of one year of experience in a kitchen setting within the hospitality industry is required.
The base salary range for this position is estimated to be between $18.00 USD and $20.00 USD per hour, considering various factors such as skills, experience, and location.
