Gucci Merchandising Director

- Implement the global buying strategy at a regional level, adapting to market specificities and priorities.
- Participate in regional fashion presentations and product buying processes.
- Oversee the buying of collections for Mexico, Panama, and Aruba, presenting strategies to the Worldwide Merchandise team.
- Monitor sales and stock, optimizing the balance to maximize growth.
- Collaborate with store directors to enhance sales and results by store.
- Coordinate with regional functions on launches, store openings, renovations, and events.
- Work with Inventory Planning and Operations for product replenishment and allocation.
- Partner with merchandising team members to develop and execute merchandise assortment and buying plans.
- Manage inventory to achieve growth across classifications and price ranges, analyzing trends and executing consolidations.
- Monitor business categories to identify priorities and opportunities.
- Review competitor activity and pricing to optimize product positioning.
- Conduct regular store visits to highlight product information and strategies to store teams.
- Collaborate with visual merchandising and retail for tactical opportunities.
- Conduct sales plan reviews with planning teams and evaluate sales potential by event/store.
- Provide strategic input for visual merchandising setups to impact business positively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, Finance, or related discipline desired.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant buying experience in fashion or luxury environments.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Work authorization in Mexico.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.
A minimum of 6-8 years of relevant buying experience within a fashion and/or luxury environment is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, Finance, or related discipline desired.
