Gucci Head of R&D and Product Development - Watches

- Lead and enhance the product development strategy and innovation roadmap aligned with brand positioning and commercial objectives.
- Identify and integrate emerging trends, materials, and technologies into future watch collections.
- Oversee and improve the entire product development process from initial briefing to market launch.
- Foster collaboration across teams to balance creativity, technical feasibility, and cost-efficiency.
- Drive cross-functional coordination with key stakeholders to enhance development efficiency.
- Standardize tools and methods to increase development efficiency and reduce delays.
- Ensure robust project planning and effective resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain a network of reliable partners in collaboration with Purchasing and Quality teams.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of product development managers and technicians.
- Promote Gucci mindsets and values in leadership.
- Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of new collections and technical developments.
- Implement efficient development processes and KPIs to track project performance.
- Act as a key liaison between all teams and promote a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Present development progress and innovations to senior management and stakeholders.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in watchmaking product development and/or R&D.
- Proven track record in delivering complex projects with technical and quality excellence.
- Strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in French and English; Italian is a plus.
