Gucci Director of Visual Merchandising

- Lead and mentor the regional Visual Merchandising team to deliver brand-right executions across boutiques and shop-in-shops, ensuring alignment with corporate and global VM standards.
- Function as a key liaison between retail operations, corporate visual, and regional leadership, driving alignment on seasonal strategies and localized execution opportunities.
- Oversee and manage regional travel and schedule, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to corporate financial guidelines.
- Ensure consistency and commercial impact across all stores in the region, adapting global directives to reflect local market opportunities and client behaviors.
- Oversee all window installations, in-store displays, and event merchandising to ensure creative excellence and business relevance.
- Partner with corporate VM and Global teams to provide regional insights and communicate field realities that inform global strategies.
- Continuously coach and develop the regional VM team to uphold brand standards and creative innovation.
- Collaborate with VP & Retail Area Directors, Store Directors, Merchandising, Store Planning & Facilities, Client Events, and Visual teams to ensure alignment on product launches and commercial priorities.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategy and identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, preferably within luxury retail or fashion.
- Proven multi-store management experience, including oversight of diverse market dynamics and business models.
- Demonstrated leadership in developing high-performing teams and leading through influence.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to manage budgets and assess ROI on visual investments.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with global stakeholders and regional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance creative execution and commercial objectives.
- Ability to perform effectively in a highly dynamic and priority-driven business environment.
- Flexibility to travel extensively and work non-traditional hours as needed.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, technical, photography, and visual presentation tools.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Excellent strategic planning and execution skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
8–10 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, with a focus on luxury retail or fashion, and proven multi-store management experience.
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $135,000 - $150,000.
