Gucci Director of Finance

- Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
- Compare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; oversee necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
- Lead, perform, and execute long-range planning, annual budgets, and forecasting cycles.
- Provide insights on growth opportunities, pricing, margin optimization, and resource allocation.
- Drive profitability improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Oversee accounting, controlling, tax, treasury, credit and collections, and statutory reporting.
- Manage performance and governance of Shared Service Centers in Brazil and Chile, ensuring SLA achievement and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/local GAAP and internal controls.
- Consolidate financials across countries using advanced Excel tools, due to absence of a unified ERP.
- Harmonize data from multiple platforms and ensure accuracy, completeness, and comparability.
- Implement governance processes to standardize reporting.
- Lead compliance program execution across all South America markets.
- Oversee anti-corruption, data privacy, third-party due diligence, and ethical conduct.
- Manage investigations, training, monitoring, and corrective actions.
- Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment between business decisions, compliance, and financial governance.
- Serve as strategic advisor to the Country Manager.
- Identify and mitigate financial, operational, compliance, and market risks.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure readiness for audits and reviews.
- Lead and develop teams across the region and shared service centers.
- Build capability, strengthen succession pipelines, and foster continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate high levels of self-motivation, hands-on involvement, and ability to operate effectively with limited headcount and lean structures.
- Create a culture of ownership, urgency, and accountability.
- Review planning process and suggest improvements to current methods.
- Analyze operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
- Identify business opportunities for expansion/downsizing.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
- Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required.
- Experience overseeing shared service operations and multi-country finance teams.
- Proven ability to consolidate financials without integrated systems; expert-level Excel skills required.
- Previous experience leading compliance, controls, or regulatory programs.
- Strong background in FP&A, accounting, tax, treasury, and governance.
- High degree of self-motivation, resilience, and ability to operate independently in low-resource environments.
- Fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Eight to ten years of experience in financial management, with a focus on overseeing shared service operations and multi-country finance teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar; MBA or CRC/CPA/CA preferred.
