Galeries Lafayette Watch Polisher and Assembler
The Watch and Jewelry Division of the Galeries Lafayette Group stands as the preeminent French leader in the distribution of horology and jewelry through its esteemed brands: Galeries Lafayette, Louis Pion, and Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz. This division serves as the purchasing hub for jewelry and watch sectors across 57 Galeries Lafayette department stores in France and Luxembourg. Louis Pion, with 70 retail locations and an e-commerce platform, offers a curated selection of watches and jewelry from over 60 brands, while Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz provides access to more than 50 prestigious watch and jewelry brands through its network of boutiques and online presence. The division also operates monobrand boutiques for luxury names such as Cartier, Rolex, and Omega.
- Perform polishing and finishing of watch components, including cases and bracelets, adhering to quality standards.
- Prepare and treat surfaces through techniques such as satin finishing, mirror polishing, and other specific finishes.
- Conduct quality control inspections on polished pieces to ensure aesthetic excellence and compliance.
- Disassemble watch cases and bracelets for maintenance and repair.
- Assemble watch cases and conduct water resistance testing.
- Maintain polishing tools and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of successful experience in a similar polishing role within the horology or precision industry.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including watchmakers, to meet service deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of horology and jewelry sectors, particularly in polishing techniques and materials.
- Customer-oriented with a keen eye for detail and precision.
- Technical understanding of horology.
- Proficiency in quality control and finishing techniques.
At least 1 year of relevant experience in watch polishing or a similar precision field.
Fixed annual salary ranging from €31,250 to €35,000, based on experience and skills, paid over 12.5 months.
