Galeries Lafayette Sustainability Internship
The Watch and Jewelry Division of the Galeries Lafayette Group stands as the preeminent French leader in the distribution of horology and jewelry through its renowned brands: Galeries Lafayette, Louis Pion, and Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz. This division serves as the purchasing hub for the jewelry and watch sectors across 57 department stores in France and Luxembourg, managing multi-brand watch spaces in 40 of these locations. With 70 retail outlets across France and an e-commerce platform, Louis Pion offers an extensive selection of watches and jewelry from over 60 brands, ranging from accessible to premium, including its own collections. Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz provides exclusive access to over 50 prestigious watch and jewelry brands in urban and airport settings, with 12 boutiques and an online store. The division also operates monobrand boutiques for Cartier, Rolex, Omega, Messika, Tudor, and Hermès in department stores and airports, aiming to captivate watch and jewelry enthusiasts.
- Assist the Sustainability Manager with projects for Louis Pion and Galeries Lafayette Royal Quartz.
- Oversee operational follow-up related to ESG indicator reporting.
- Consolidate databases for product, transport, freight, and other emission sources for the Carbon Footprint assessment.
- Create a database for product traceability for in-house brands, involving international supplier engagement.
- Support the creation of internal (2025 Sustainability Report) and external communication materials (websites).
- Contribute to studies on transitioning to recycled gold and other materials, in collaboration with the In-House Brands department.
- Support data collection for the Tertiary Decree and action plan monitoring at delivery points.
- Assist in deploying sustainability initiatives across the store network.
- Monitor waste-related data in retail locations.
- Facilitate data collection with recycling partner Eco Tempo for team engagement around quantitative objectives.
- Currently enrolled in an engineering school or a similar program, ideally at a Bac+4/5 level.
- Strong initiative-taking and task prioritization abilities.
- Adaptability and quick problem-solving skills.
- Result-oriented focus with the ability to work under deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for internal and external interactions.
- Autonomous work style.
No prior experience required, although a passion for sustainability is advantageous.
Pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field, ideally at Bac+4/5 level.
Fixed monthly stipend of €1200 for Bac+4 or €1400 for Bac+5 students.
