Galeries Lafayette Watch Polisher and Assembler
The Watch and Jewelry Division of the Galeries Lafayette Group is the leading French distributor of watches and jewelry through its brands: Galeries Lafayette, Louis Pion, and Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz. The division serves as the purchasing center for jewelry and watch sectors for the 57 Galeries Lafayette department stores in France and Luxembourg. It operates multi-brand watch spaces in 40 of these stores and offers a wide selection of watches and jewelry through its 70 Louis Pion stores and e-commerce site. Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz provides access to over 50 prestigious watch and jewelry brands with 12 boutiques and an e-commerce site. The division also manages mono-brand boutiques such as Cartier, Rolex, Omega, Messika, Tudor, and Hermès in department stores and airports.
- Polish and finish watch components such as cases and bracelets according to quality standards.
- Prepare and perform surface treatments including satin finishing, mirror polishing, and other luxury watch finishes.
- Inspect polished pieces to ensure conformity and aesthetic excellence.
- Disassemble watch cases and bracelets.
- Assemble watch cases and perform water resistance tests.
- Maintain polishing tools and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with watchmakers to meet service deadlines.
- At least 1 year of experience in polishing within the watchmaking sector or a similar precision field.
- Technical background in watchmaking preferred.
- Mastery of watch polishing techniques, including satin finishing, mirror polishing, and luxury watch-specific finishes.
- Knowledge of materials such as steel, gold, titanium, and other alloys used in watchmaking.
- Attention to detail and precision to meet high-quality standards.
- Autonomy and rigor in work, with a strong team spirit.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, respecting strict deadlines and quality requirements.
At least 1 year of experience in polishing within the watchmaking sector or a similar precision field.
Fixed salary between €2600 and €3000 gross per month, over 12.5 months, based on experience and skills.
