Galeries Lafayette Watch Polisher and Assembler
The Watch and Jewelry Division of the Galeries Lafayette Group stands as the preeminent French distributor of timepieces and fine jewelry, operating under esteemed brands such as Galeries Lafayette, Louis Pion, and Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz. As the central purchasing hub for the jewelry and watch sectors across 57 integrated and affiliated Galeries Lafayette department stores in France and Luxembourg, the division also manages multi-brand watch spaces in 40 of these locations. Louis Pion, with its 70 retail outlets across France and an e-commerce platform, offers an extensive selection of watches and jewelry from over 60 brands, ranging from accessible to premium, alongside its own collections. Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz provides exclusive access to over 50 prestigious watch and jewelry brands through its network of 12 boutiques and online presence, including bespoke jewelry creation services. Additionally, the division operates monobrand boutiques for renowned names such as Cartier, Rolex, Omega, Messika, Tudor, and Hermès in department stores and airports. The division's mission is to captivate enthusiasts and connoisseurs of watches and jewelry alike.
- Polish and finish watch components, including cases and bracelets, adhering to quality standards.
- Prepare and execute surface treatments such as satin finishing, mirror polishing, and other luxury watch-specific finishes.
- Inspect polished pieces to ensure compliance with quality and aesthetic excellence.
- Disassemble watch cases and bracelets.
- Assemble watch cases and conduct water resistance testing.
- Maintain polishing tools and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with watchmakers to meet service deadlines.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in polishing within the watchmaking sector or a similar precision field.
- Technical foundation in watchmaking preferred.
- Mastery of watch polishing techniques, including satin finishing, mirror polishing, and luxury-specific finishes.
- Knowledge of materials such as steel, gold, titanium, and other alloys used in watchmaking.
- Attention to detail and precision to meet high-quality standards.
- Autonomy and meticulousness in work, with strong teamwork abilities.
- Adaptability to a dynamic environment, with adherence to strict quality and deadline requirements.
At least 1 year of experience in watch polishing or a related precision field.
Fixed monthly salary between €2,600 and €3,000 gross, over 12.5 months, commensurate with experience and skills.
