Galeries Lafayette Merchandising Assistant (Internship)

- Support the merchandising team with weekly and monthly sales analysis, performance reporting and KPI tracking.
- Assist in assortment planning and allocation, including preparing take-rate and sell-through analyses.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with supply chain and store teams to optimise stock distribution.
- Prepare presentations, range decks and commercial propositions for internal stakeholders.
- Conduct trend and competitive research to inform seasonal merchandising strategies.
- Maintain merchandising databases and update product, pricing and placement information in shared systems.
- Coordinate with retail, visual merchandising and buying teams to ensure in-store execution and replenishment.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in Fashion Business, Merchandising, Business, Economics or a related discipline.
- Strong numerical aptitude with demonstrable analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative team player.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; comfort with large datasets.

Prior retail, buying or merchandising internships or part‑time experience in a store or wholesale environment is advantageous but not mandatory. This is an entry-level internship designed for candidates currently studying and seeking practical merchandising exposure.
Enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate programme (Fashion Business, Merchandising, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent).
