Galeries Lafayette Merchandising Assistant Intern
The Watch and Jewelry Division of the Galeries Lafayette Group stands as the preeminent French distributor in the horology and jewelry sectors through its distinguished brands: Galeries Lafayette, Louis Pion, and Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz. This division serves as the central purchasing hub for jewelry and watch sectors across 57 Galeries Lafayette department stores in France and Luxembourg. With a robust presence of 70 retail outlets and an e-commerce platform, Louis Pion offers an extensive selection of watches and jewelry from over 60 brands, ranging from accessible to premium, including its own collections. Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz provides exclusive access to over 50 prestigious watch and jewelry brands through its network of boutiques and online presence. Additionally, the division operates monobrand boutiques for luxury names such as Cartier, Rolex, and Omega, among others.
- Draft merchandising books for the Louis Pion and Galeries Lafayette La Joaillerie brands.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Department and Merchandising Project Manager to implement watch and jewelry collections in the showroom and translate them into books for field teams.
- Support the Project Manager in creating point-of-sale displays and communication materials, liaising with the graphic designer.
- Conduct store visits to ensure merchandising standards.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in merchandising.
- Proficiency in Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative, aesthetic, and analytical mindset.
- Ability to work independently and stay abreast of trends.
No prior professional experience is required, but relevant academic projects or internships in merchandising are advantageous.
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in merchandising or a related field.
