Galeries Lafayette Merchandising Assistant Intern
The Watch and Jewelry Division of the Galeries Lafayette Group stands as the preeminent French leader in the distribution of timepieces and jewelry through its renowned brands: Galeries Lafayette, Louis Pion, and Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz. Serving as the purchasing hub for jewelry and watch sectors across 57 integrated and affiliated Galeries Lafayette department stores in France and Luxembourg, the division also manages multi-brand watch spaces in 40 of these stores. With 70 Louis Pion retail locations across France and an e-commerce platform, the brand offers an extensive selection of watches and, more recently, jewelry from over 60 brands, ranging from accessible to premium, alongside its proprietary collections. Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz provides exclusive access to over 50 prestigious watch and jewelry brands through its network of 12 boutiques and online store. Additionally, the division operates mono-brand boutiques for Cartier, Rolex, Omega, Messika, Tudor, and Hermès in department stores and airports. The division's mission is to captivate the curiosity and passion of watch and jewelry enthusiasts in urban settings.
- Draft merchandising books for the Louis Pion and Galeries Lafayette La Joaillerie brands.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Department and Merchandising Project Manager to implement watch and jewelry collections in the showroom and translate them into books for field teams.
- Support the Project Manager in creating point-of-sale displays and conversational materials for product promotion, liaising with graphic designers.
- Conduct boutique visits.
- Currently pursuing a degree equivalent to Bac+2 in merchandising.
- Proficiency in Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative, aesthetic, and analytical abilities.
- Autonomy and trend awareness.
No prior professional experience required, but relevant academic background in merchandising is essential.
Currently enrolled in a Bac+2 level program in merchandising or a related field.
Fixed monthly stipend: €1000 for Bac+2 level, €1200 for Bac+4 level.
