Galeries Lafayette Merchandising Assistant Intern
The Watch and Jewelry Division of the Galeries Lafayette Group stands as the preeminent French leader in the distribution of horology and jewelry through its renowned brands: Galeries Lafayette, Louis Pion, and Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz. This division serves as the purchasing hub for jewelry and watch sectors across 57 Galeries Lafayette department stores, both integrated and affiliated, in France and Luxembourg. It also manages multi-brand watch spaces in 40 of these stores. With 70 Louis Pion outlets nationwide and an e-commerce platform, the brand offers an extensive selection of watches and, more recently, jewelry, from over 60 brands ranging from accessible to premium, including its own collections. Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz provides exclusive access to over 50 prestigious watch and jewelry brands, both in urban locations and airports, through its network of 12 boutiques and online store, also offering bespoke jewelry creation services. Beyond its own brands, the division operates mono-brand boutiques such as Cartier, Rolex, Omega, Messika, Tudor, and Hermès in department stores and airports. The division's mission is to captivate the curiosity and passion of watch and jewelry enthusiasts, whether in urban settings or beyond.
- Assist the Merchandising Project Manager and the Visual Identity and Merchandising Manager on projects for Louis Pion and Galeries Lafayette Royal Quartz.
- Draft merchandising books for the proprietary brands Louis Pion and Galeries Lafayette La Joaillerie.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Department and the Merchandising Project Manager to implement watch and jewelry collections in the showroom and translate them into books for field teams.
- Support the project manager in creating point-of-sale displays and communication materials for product promotion, acting as a liaison with the graphic designer.
- Conduct store visits as required.
- Holder of a BAC+2 degree, ideally specialized in Merchandising.
- Autonomous work ethic with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Awareness of trends with a creative, aesthetic, and analytical mindset.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
No prior experience required, but a keen interest in merchandising and luxury goods is advantageous.
BAC+2 degree in Merchandising or related field.
