Galeries Lafayette Legal and Compliance Manager

- Oversee legal and compliance matters in collaboration with operational departments, specialized service providers, and Galeries Lafayette representatives.
- Provide support for litigation management and customer dispute resolution.
- Assist in the negotiation and contractualization of commercial leases for boutiques.
- Draft and manage contracts with multi-brand distributors and franchisees.
- Coordinate trademark and intellectual property matters with specialized legal firms.
- Prepare corporate governance documents in collaboration with Galeries Lafayette's legal department.
- Manage insurance declarations and follow up on claims related to boutiques and events.
- Implement GDPR action plans and coordinate stakeholders with the Group DPO.
- Finalize and integrate the Code of Conduct for suppliers and partners into contracts.
- Lead the Responsible Jewellery Council certification project.
- Establish social and environmental audit reporting for RSE initiatives.
- Coordinate carbon data collection and reporting according to Group standards.
- Proven experience (8-12 years) as a generalist legal counsel or legal manager, preferably in a retail environment.
- Expertise in commercial law, leases, client litigation, corporate law, and intellectual property law.
- Experience or interest in CSR and compliance project deployment and management.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate assertiveness.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to integrate into a human-sized environment and demonstrate agility and responsiveness.
8-12 years of experience in a legal counsel or legal management role, ideally within the retail sector.
Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field, with a preference for advanced legal qualifications.
