Galeries Lafayette Assistant Buyer Internship - Jewelry
The Watch and Jewelry Division of the Galeries Lafayette Group stands as the preeminent French distributor in the horology and jewelry sectors through its esteemed brands: Galeries Lafayette, Louis Pion, and Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz. Serving as the purchasing hub for jewelry and watch sectors across 57 Galeries Lafayette department stores in France and Luxembourg, the division also manages multibrand watch spaces in 40 of these locations. Louis Pion, with its 70 retail outlets and e-commerce platform, offers an extensive selection of watches and jewelry from over 60 brands, ranging from accessible to premium, alongside its proprietary collections. Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz provides exclusive access to over 50 prestigious watch and jewelry brands through its network of 12 boutiques and online presence. The division also operates monobrand boutiques for Cartier, Rolex, Omega, Messika, Tudor, and Hermès in department stores and airports, aiming to captivate enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike.
- Assist buyers in daily tasks within the Purchasing Department.
- Participate in sales analysis and collection reviews to provide insightful recommendations.
- Conduct benchmarks and competitive analysis to aid in the development of the annual offer strategy.
- Contribute to negotiation preparations and range analysis.
- Attend supplier meetings to aid in assortment construction.
- Assist in the development of store merchandising plans, following negotiations and concept evolutions.
- Create sales support documents, including brand and product sheets.
- Currently enrolled in a business school or university, pursuing a Bac +4 or Bac +5 level degree.
- Seeking a six-month internship starting in July 2025.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Customer-oriented with proactive improvement-seeking attitude.
No prior professional experience required, but a strategic mindset and analytical capabilities are essential.
Pursuing a Bac +4 or Bac +5 level degree in business or related field.
Fixed monthly stipend: €1200 for Bac +4 level, €1400 for Bac +5 level.
