- Oversee all purchasing activities within the company, ensuring alignment with the company's CSR policies.
- Collaborate with development, marketing, visual merchandising, transport, and logistics teams to select suppliers and negotiate purchase prices.
- Ensure the accurate cost of goods based on expected quality, analyzing cost breakdowns and value of projects.
- Identify potential reindustrialization needs based on product margins and future volumes.
- Conduct tenders and negotiate with suppliers on manufacturing costs, loss rates, and payment terms.
- Define and negotiate contractual terms with suppliers, updating standard costs in SAP in collaboration with marketing and finance.
- Implement cost management for new products using Product Lifecycle Management tools.
- Manage non-precious purchasing areas such as visual merchandising, packaging, transport, and logistics.
- Contribute to supplier selection, developing a panel of suppliers for potential contracts.
- Measure and manage purchasing performance, ensuring commercial terms are adhered to and maintaining a clear view of supplier cost performance.
- Ensure the supply chain is responsible and compliant with new legislative standards, managing RJC certification and risk assessments.
- Participate in LVMH group initiatives to mitigate supply, social, or environmental risks.
- Degree in engineering, business school, or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience, with a background in jewelry being advantageous.
- Fluency in English is essential; Italian is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand complex data and industrial processes.
- Excellent relational skills to foster supplier partnerships and liaise with internal teams.
- Adaptability to the fast-paced changes in the sector.
- Curiosity and interest in technological advancements and supplier optimization.
- Rigor and reliability in work execution.
- Strong analytical and quantitative understanding.
- Ability to synthesize quantitative issues for decision-making and recommendation validation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for supplier relationship management.
- Agility in adapting to sector demands and changes.
- Proficiency in IT tools.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a purchasing role, preferably within the jewelry industry.
Degree in engineering, business, or equivalent field.
