Fred Purchasing Manager

- Ensure the accurate cost of goods for all finished products, aligning with expected quality standards.
- Analyze cost breakdowns and conduct value analysis of projects.
- Identify key issues where significant gains can be achieved or dependencies exist.
- Identify and manage potential reindustrialization needs based on product margins and future volumes.
- Conduct tenders and negotiate with suppliers regarding manufacturing costs, loss rates, and payment terms.
- Define contractual conditions for supplier engagement in line with company objectives, including framework agreements or specific contracts.
- Regularly update standard costs in SAP in collaboration with marketing and finance.
- Implement cost management for new products in the Product Lifecycle Management tool.
- Oversee non-precious categories such as Visual Merchandising, Packaging, Transport, and Logistics.
- Analyze supplier expenditure and conduct tenders to reduce costs or ensure fair pricing.
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers.
- Contribute to supplier selection and maintain a comprehensive list of potential suppliers for various technological families and R&D.
- Develop a panel of preferred suppliers and establish privileged relationships leading to contracts.
- Measure and manage purchasing performance, ensuring agreed commercial terms are adhered to through invoice control.
- Maintain a clear view of cost performance across suppliers, including hourly rates, production times, and service costs.
- Evaluate suppliers based on defined quality, cost, and volume objectives.
- Monitor unit price changes with each supplier and assess financial impacts for Fred.
- Ensure the Supply Chain adheres to new legislative, group, or sector standards.
- Responsible for Supply Chain RJC certification and associated improvement plans.
- Update the supply chain risk assessment and conduct necessary due diligence.
- Contribute to group initiatives to mitigate supply, social, or environmental risks.
- Represent Fred operations in LVMH's Life 360 working groups and manage indicators from the Cascade tool.
- Engineering, business school, or equivalent degree.
- 7 years of professional experience, with a background in jewelry being advantageous.
- Rigor and reliability.
- Strong analytical skills and quantitative understanding of complex data and industrial processes.
- Ability to synthesize quantitative issues for decision-making and obtain validation.
- Excellent relational skills to foster supplier partnerships and liaise with Fred teams.
- Agility to adapt to sector demands and rapid changes.
- Curiosity to follow technological advancements and continuously optimize the supplier panel.
- Proficiency in English is essential; Italian is a plus.
- Proficiency in IT tools.
Minimum of 5 years in a relevant field, with experience in the jewelry industry considered a significant advantage.
Engineering, business school, or equivalent degree.
