Diesel Director of Wholesale

- Define and execute a comprehensive wholesale strategy that advances brand positioning and global commercial objectives.
- Own wholesale P&L, season and annual sales planning, forecasting, budgeting and revenue targets for the region.
- Establish and deepen strategic partnerships with luxury retailers, department stores and specialty accounts; act as primary relationship lead for major partners.
- Negotiate commercial terms, assortments, exclusives and distribution strategies to protect brand integrity while driving profitable growth.
- Partner with merchandising and planning to develop market-relevant assortments and ensure optimal inventory flow and sell-through.
- Analyze sell-in and sell-through data, market dynamics and competitive activity to identify opportunities and mitigate risk.
- Lead showroom strategy, seasonal market appointments and order management to maximise account performance.
- Collaborate with marketing and visual merchandising to ensure consistent brand storytelling and exceptional in-store presentation across wholesale environments.
- Prospect new accounts, design and deliver product seminars and presentations, and train Account Executives for sales appointments.
- Lead, mentor and develop the wholesale team, fostering high performance, accountability and cross‑functional alignment with retail, operations and marketing.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in luxury goods wholesale sales, with significant responsibility for major accounts.
- Proven track record of managing and growing relationships with high‑level retail partners and specialty stores.
- Demonstrated experience owning P&L, forecasting and delivering against revenue targets.
- Deep understanding of luxury distribution strategy, market dynamics and consumer behaviour across international markets.
- Exceptional negotiation, relationship management and strategic planning abilities.
- Strong analytical capability with experience translating data into actionable commercial decisions.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

At least 10 years of relevant experience in luxury wholesale, with a history of managing major retail partners, driving revenue growth and operating with an international perspective across multiple markets.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, fashion merchandising or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
