- Contribute to the collaborative design process for Outlet handbags and small leathergoods, from concept through commercialization.
- Translate the Coach brand aesthetic into silhouettes and seasonal design concepts.
- Conduct research on current and vintage global markets to identify trends, silhouettes, product functionality, novelty techniques, hardware, materials, and detailing.
- Sketch new product designs in Adobe Illustrator, ensuring adherence to scale, construction, and brand standards.
- Render colored illustrations (CADs) in Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for seasonal product lines.
- Prepare technical specifications and design cards for new silhouettes and platforms under tight deadlines.
- Maintain organized file systems in shared digital libraries.
- Prepare digital and physical sketch presentations for milestone meetings and oversee the organization of the design studio and shared spaces.
- Collaborate daily with Senior Design, Technical Design, Material, Product Development, and Merchandising teams both in New York and overseas.
- Uphold the integrity of Coach's design standards and proactively meet all deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- 2+ years of experience in handbag or related product design.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Hand sketching ability, including flat sketching.
- Strong color sense.
- Experience in fashion/luxury brands is a plus.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Flexibility and self-management capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Collaborative team player with initiative.
A minimum of 2 years in handbag or related product design, with a focus on luxury or fashion brands preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field is preferred.
Base pay range from $65,000 to $80,000 annually.
