Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, and specialty drinks following recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, taking orders, and handling transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workplace, including counters, equipment, and customer seating areas.
- Stock and replenish coffee supplies, syrups, pastries, and other items as needed.
- Educate customers on different coffee options, brewing methods, and menu items.
- Ensure proper sanitation and safety standards are followed at all times.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a barista or in a café setting is preferred.
- Available to work flexible hours/shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Can lift and carry items up to 25 lbs.
- Effective client service skills.
- Proven organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work with food and beverage operating systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Work as part of a team and build relationships.
Experience Requirements
