1. Ensure accurate and efficient processing of shipping and receiving functions affecting store inventory.
2. Maintain an orderly stock and receiving area, ensuring merchandise is properly ticketed and sensored.
3. Accurately process inbound freight, returns-to-vendors, chargebacks, transfers, and damages according to company policies.
4. Support compliance with company policies regarding safekeeping of funds, property, and record-keeping procedures.
5. Ensure stock is appropriately security tagged to prevent loss.
6. Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control departments.
7. Participate in inventory and cycle counts.
8. Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping.
9. Complete price changes within the boutique.
10. Assist in packing or wrapping customers’ merchandise when necessary.
11. Solve problems and make informed suggestions to enhance service and productivity in the receiving area.
12. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
13. Participate in store meetings and training seminars as necessary.

1. Previous retail stock, shipping, or receiving experience.

1. Effective handling of receiving operations and merchandise.
2. Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and follow-through skills.
3. Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete documentation.
4. Proficient in processing information and merchandise through computer systems.
5. Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
6. Proficient in operating necessary equipment including phone systems, inventory-control systems, and sensor-tag removers.
7. Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
8. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy lifting.

Previous experience in retail stock, shipping, or receiving is required.
