- Ensure accurate and efficient processing of all shipping and receiving functions affecting store inventory.
- Maintain an orderly and neat stock and receiving area, ensuring merchandise is properly ticketed and sensored.
- Accurately process all inbound freight, returns-to-vendors (RTV's), chargebacks, transfers, and damages based on company policies.
- Support compliance with established company policies and standards, including safekeeping of company funds and property.
- Ensure stock is appropriately security tagged to prevent loss.
- Communicate with central distribution and/or the corporate inventory control department.
- Participate in all inventory and cycle counts.
- Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping.
- Complete price changes within the boutique.
- Assist in packing or wrapping customers’ merchandise when necessary.
- Solve problems and make informed suggestions affecting the service and productivity of the receiving area.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Participate in store meetings and training seminars as necessary.
- Previous retail stock/shipping/receiving experience.
- Ability to handle receiving operations effectively, including proper handling of merchandise.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
- Ability to process information and merchandise through computer systems.
- Ability to adjust priorities and lead time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to operate all necessary equipment, including phone systems, inventory-control computer systems, sensor-tag remover, and other office equipment.
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures, which entails heavy lifting.
Beginner level experience in retail stock, shipping, and receiving operations is required.
