- Ensure accurate and efficient processing of all shipping and receiving functions affecting store inventory.
- Maintain an orderly and neat stock and receiving area, ensuring merchandise is properly ticketed and sensored.
- Accurately process all inbound freight, returns-to-vendors (RTVs), chargebacks, transfers, and damages according to company policies.
- Support compliance with company policies and standards, including safekeeping of company funds and property, personnel practices, security, and record-keeping procedures.
- Ensure stock is appropriately security tagged to prevent loss.
- Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control departments.
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts.
- Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping.
- Complete price changes within the boutique.
- Pack or wrap customers’ merchandise as necessary.
- Solve problems and make informed suggestions to enhance service and productivity in the receiving area.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Participate in store meetings and training seminars.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
- Previous retail stock/shipping/receiving experience.
- Ability to handle receiving operations effectively, including proper handling of merchandise.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
- Proficiency in processing information and merchandise through computer systems.
- Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
- Competence in operating all necessary equipment, including phone systems, inventory-control computer systems, sensor-tag removers, and other office equipment.
- Flexibility to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, and perform all functions as required.
Beginner level experience in retail stock, shipping, or receiving is required.
